Toronto / Scarborough ReFirme Specialist - Dr. Sammy Sliwin

At the Forest Hill Institute of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Toronto and Scarborough patients can choose from a variety of sophisticated surgical and non-surgical procedures for the face and body. One of the more exciting treatments offered by the renowned Toronto plastic surgeon Dr. Sliwin is ReFirme ST procedure. Please read on to learn more about ReFirme ST and the aesthetic benefits of this state-of-the-art treatment.

ReFirme ST Procedure

ReFirme ST is a treatment that combines safe and effective levels of infrared light and bipolar radiofrequency energies to remodel the dermal layer of the skin by stimulating new collagen growth.  The ST can improve skin laxity and sagginess of the face, neck and certain body areas such as the abdomen and upper arms.

How many ReFirme ST treatments are required? Most patients will require approximately 5 treatments.

How often are treatments done? Treatment sessions are typically 2–4 weeks apart.

How long does each treatment take? Each treatment takes less than an hour to perform.

Does the treatment hurt? No. The ReFirme ST is tolerated well by patients without the use of a topical anesthetic. The applicator tip is chilled so it provides contact cooling to the skin surface for added comfort.

Who can be treated with the ReFirme ST? All skin colors and skin types can be treated with the ST.

Are there any risks to the treatment? Any medical aesthetic procedure has the risk of side effects such as superficial blistering, crusting, and pigment changes in the skin. A proper consultation with your medical esthetician is needed to ensure these risks are minimized.
