What Is Breast Reduction Surgery?

Breast reduction surgery is when the breasts are reduced in size and reshaped by surgically removing fat, skin and tissue from the breast area. The procedure is also known as reduction mammoplasty and it is performed on women from all different age groups and backgrounds, although most surgeons prefer if you wait until your breasts have finished developing completely before performing the surgery.

For more information please view our patient education video that shows the procedure (non graphically) and answers common questions, please click here.
